The protection of your personal data is important to us.

We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the legal provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

This privacy policy explains which data is processed in the GarageLog360 app, for what purpose, and on which legal basis.

3.1 Usage and Account Data

When using the app, the following data may be processed:

• User ID
• Email address (upon registration)
• App-specific settings (e.g. language, currency)
• Pro status / purchase status

Purpose:

Provision of app features, user management, synchronization.

Legal basis:

Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract)

3.2 Vehicle and App Content

The app processes data entered by the user, such as:

• Vehicle data (name, consumption, mileage)
• Fuel and expense logs
• Categories, notes, and timestamps

These data are personal but are used exclusively for app functionality.

Purpose:

Display, calculation, and management of vehicle and cost history.

Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR

3.3 Location-Based Information (Indirect)

The app may use country-based information (e.g. currency), derived from:

• Device settings or
• IP-based country detection

No continuous location tracking (GPS) takes place.

Purpose:

Automatic selection of currency and regional defaults.

3.4 Payment and Purchase Data (Pro Version)

In-app purchases are processed exclusively via the Apple App Store.

We do not receive any payment or credit card details, only:

• Purchase status (active / inactive)
• Product type (e.g. Pro version)

Purpose:

Unlocking paid features.

4. Cloud Backend / Data Processing

A cloud backend is used for data storage and synchronization:

Supabase Inc.

USA / EU data centers

Supabase acts as a data processor under the GDPR.

A corresponding Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is in place.

Data transmission is encrypted.

5. Data Sharing

Personal data is not shared with third parties, except:

• where technically required (e.g. Supabase), or
• where legally required

No advertising, no tracking, no data sales.

Personal data is stored only as long as:

• the user account exists, or
• it is required for app functionality

After account deletion, all related data is permanently deleted, unless legal retention obligations apply.

You have the right to:

• Access your stored data
• Rectification of inaccurate data
• Deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restriction of processing
• Data portability
