Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern the use of the GarageLog360 app for iPhone and iPad. The German version is authoritative.

Licence agreement

The licence for the app obtained through the App Store is governed by the licence agreement specified for GarageLog360 in the App Store, by default Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). The following terms supplement this licence agreement with product-specific rules and do not replace it. In case of conflict, the licence agreement prevails insofar as it concerns the licence to the app.

Purpose of the app

GarageLog360 helps you manage your vehicles, in particular with fuel-up and expense entries, statistics, reminders, photos and documents, trip recording and optional OBD data. GarageLog360 is intended for private use. For commercial use with many vehicles, you can contact us for a suitable offer.

Guest mode and account

  • You can use GarageLog360 without an account in guest mode. Your data is then stored under a random session identifier and can be transferred to an account later. If the session identifier is lost, for example because you delete the app, guest data cannot be restored.
  • An account is required to synchronise between devices, to share vehicles and to deliver reminders to multiple devices. The information provided when registering must be accurate.
  • An account is personal. Sign-in details and unlocked devices must be protected against unauthorised access.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings. The consequences for your data and shared vehicles are described in the Privacy Policy.

Vehicle sharing

With PRO, you can share vehicles that belong to you with other people and give them the role of viewer or editor. You decide whom you invite and are responsible for only inviting people you want to entrust with the vehicle’s data. Invited people can take part with a free account.

PRO and OBD add-on

  • GarageLog360 can be used in a free version. PRO extends the app, for example with unlimited vehicles, extended statistics, CSV export, extended reminders, multiple attachments and vehicle sharing. The OBD add-on extends trip recording with data from an OBD adapter and requires PRO. The current scope and any limits are described in the app.
  • PRO and the OBD add-on are offered as a monthly or annual subscription or as a one-time purchase without expiry, exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase. Price, scope and, where applicable, term are shown in the app before purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected term unless they are cancelled in the Apple Account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
  • Apple’s terms apply to purchase, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds.
  • Deleting the app or your account does not cancel an active subscription.
  • A compatible adapter is required for the OBD features. We name tested adapters but cannot guarantee that every adapter or every vehicle is supported.

Your data

You retain the rights to the data you enter in GarageLog360. To operate the service, you grant Xvision Solutions the non-exclusive right, limited to the duration of use, to store and transmit this data and to make it available to you and to the people you share a vehicle with.

You must not upload content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of third parties, in particular no photos or documents about other people without their authorisation.

Road safety

Do not operate the app while driving unless this is safe and legally permitted. Calculations, statistics, reminders and OBD values are provided for your overview. They do not replace checking the vehicle, maintenance according to the manufacturer’s specifications or compliance with statutory inspection and service dates.

Permitted use

In particular, the following is not permitted:

  • circumventing access, security or purchase mechanisms or attempting to access other users’ data
  • automated data retrieval or excessive use that impairs operation
  • uploading malware
  • misusing invitations, feedback or the contact form, for example for spam
  • use for unlawful purposes

Availability of the service

Many features depend on an internet connection and on third-party services. We strive for reliable operation but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security measures, technical faults or changes to third-party services may temporarily restrict features. Do not keep important documents such as the vehicle registration document, insurance or service documents exclusively in GarageLog360.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the liability of Xvision Solutions for slight negligence, indirect damage, consequential damage, loss of profit and loss of data is excluded. Liability for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under mandatory statutory provisions, in particular mandatory consumer protection law, remains unaffected. Where mandatory law provides for liability for a slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, such liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.

Changes to the app and these terms

GarageLog360 is being developed further; features and limits may change, be added or be removed for technical, legal, security or product-related reasons. These terms may be updated if features or legal requirements change. We will inform you of material changes in an appropriate manner, for example in the app. Services already paid for remain available for the paid term.

Termination

You can end your use at any time by deleting the app or your account. In the event of serious or repeated breaches of these terms, we may restrict or terminate access to the extent necessary.

Trademarks and copyright

The app is protected by copyright. “GarageLog360” and the app icon are trademarks of Xvision Solutions. Apple, App Store, iPhone and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Privacy

Information on the processing of personal data is provided in the Privacy Policy, available in the app and on garagelog360.app.

Governing law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is the place of business of Xvision Solutions. Mandatory provisions protecting consumers, in particular regarding their place of jurisdiction and the law applicable in their country of residence, remain reserved.
